C. VIVIANI Trunk Show in JUNE24th 2010

Yesterday, Jewelry Designer Christina Viviani had a trunk show in Manhattan.

Her signature is pyramid shape of Rubber whose color comes in black or Crystal.
I think these fixtures, which white tree branches well made but still simple display her jewelries really creative way.

Onf of my favorite Birthday Gift !!

My girl friend Tris gave me, which is my favorite gift that I got for my birthday so far. Can you imagine you flip the page of this everyday to find out the look and read what they say?

Wall & Water ( Lower Manhattan)

Financial district, we used to have the image of boring at night, quiet at night, but nowadays, we have been hearing that there are many trendy luxury designer's buildings and great bars and restaurants. So financial district is actually becoming a hot spot...
This week, I went to meet up with my girl friend Erica to catch up over the dinner.
Erica introduced me to the restaurant " Wall & Water". It is literally located on the corner of Wall and Water street.
Once you go up the white stairs, you can see the cool, simple, beautiful bar space.
And again you go up stairs, there is a big open kitchen and counter space, on the right, the space for some private party, on the other side, you will find dining space where you can see real open kitchen that Chefs are cooking.

We sat down at the little booth that we can enjoy the chef's cooking and also away from other guests.
we both ordered Chef's family style tasting, which have almost 5 different dishes and desserts. A big Artichoke, hot pot, Dessert were so yummy!!






Although Dessert came in when we were already full, we couldn't stop digging the dessert.
All meals are so delicious, and could not even miss any of them.

One more thing that made me happy on that night was the gift from Erica.
She couldn't bring a birthday gift when we had a birthday dinner...
It is Vodka shot set from London!!
She told me the shape of the glass reminded of me...???

My Birthday in NYC June 11th 2010

For my birthday, I like to get together with my close friends who care and support me, not like superficial friends. Unless I throw a huge birthday party, I would prefer have cozy time and talk over great food at one of the best hot restaurants in NYC.
So June 11th,2010, I picked Bagatelle in the meatpacking district, not only they have a great crowd but also their bartenders, Waiters are sooo hot. Why not having eye candy with a great meal for my birthday.... Happy Birthday Meal!!



My Birthday is a special day for me, I got hair done by the stylist and picked the stripe dress which has a bow on my chest that I got in Japan, which I thought I could look like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, so I wanted have a big hair on that day with the dress. Luckily,my stylist had same image and made a big hair as I wish.


As my request, all of the guests had to dress up for my birthday, all my girls dressed up well and looked beautiful.
I was so happy!! I think when girls have to dress up for the party, even though you are not into fashion, they spend a lot of time to pick a dress and do make up. So they get excited to be at the party with the best dress and special make up that they do as much as they could. I wouldn't mind to request them because I know they actually love it!




We had a quite nice conversation at the dinner with fabulous waiter's service.
In the end, a big cake with 2 fireworks was brought by a waiter.
Thanks to all my great friends, they prepared secretly a big chocolate cake with white whip cream on, which I love!!!




I am so glad that I could have such beautiful thoughtful friends to celebrate my birthday with in NYC. I have been in NYC for 8yrs though I feel like I finally get real friends here.

OPENING CEREMONY VS FOREVER 21 and H&M in JAPAN

Just went to OPENING CEREMONY in SHIBUYA, TOKYO today, that building has 7 floors for one store. They actually divide the floors based on their themes. Actually, Japanese Opening Ceremony looks AMAZING!!
I was dying to take pictures for each floors but the sales person mad at me when I tried to take by my phone camera.
So I could only got this secretly...


Their interior is like BARNEYS NEW YORK of NYC, very artsy and in Style!!
However... most of the floors are empty although they sell great selection such as Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Rachel Comey etc...
I feel like the location of Opening Ceremony in Tokyo is not the right area.
Because there are many of cheap clothing stores for young girls.
Lately, Forever 21 and H&M has opened up near there...
Right before I got there, I stopped by H&M, they sell about $8 tops!!
And store was packed, so as Forever 21!!
Japanese love imported items, and the name of the brand but now the name of H&M and FOREVER 21 are becoming A BRAND NAME.
They are going crazy to go get a reasonable ( or really cheap) clothing.
SHIBUYA (District) has many young fashionista who can't afford expensive designer's, and Opening Ceremony is located this area.
Not Aoyama ( One of fancy area where all the high-end boutiques and stylish store like LOVELESS is located at)where all the fashionista who can still afford or would happy to spend much money to get great products.
I want to see how the opening ceremony survive with 7th floor building in TOKYO although I personally love TOKYO Opening Ceremony store than the one in NEW YORK in terms of size,interior and store stuff ( those girls in Japan are really helpful and nice, I even asked the location of Beams International Gallery where I was gonna visit after. She gave me a little hand drawing map for me to explain to the cab driver.So nice of her!!).
And Forever21 and H&M are aggressively opening up many branches...
Forever 21 says "SWEEPING JAPAN" at the front!!


H&M and Forever21 should hope people gets sick of them soon.

Crazy about Leopard

I love leopard, during this trip in Japan, I got those leopard so far!!
First my new nail with leopard,

Second a new fancy Japanese style fan, which is called "SENSU" in Japanese...

Third this leopard Hat at store "NOBLE" by FRAMEWORKS in Roppongi Hills (TOKYO) today. Imported item from Italy but this was already discounted surprisingly, felt so lucky to get this really well made hat!!

Finally this cute leopard with a ribbon case to put jewelry inside!!!
This was actually only 1000yen, which is like 12dollars.


Needless to say, I live in a room which is like a wild jungle with tons of Leopard.
